CLAUDE
YOUNG hails from Detroit, USA and is one of the prime movers in the second
(or is that third) generation of Detoit techno shakers. He was taught a
good few of his tricks by his close pal (and co-founder of Frictional Records)
Anthony "Shake" Shakir...the rest were learnt by watching Jeff Mills and
loads of hard work...Claude is kind of like an Octopus who leaves a trail
of broken mixers in his wake, musically he usually bangs out a tasty Detroit
techno style set, full of tricks that make you wonder how he does it...nose,
elbow, mouth, etc, usually come into play.
Currently, Claude's musical output can be found on Tresor and Djax, amongst
other labels, if you are a fan of Detroit music you should check some out!
He's also a very agreeable chap by the way, even though he looks like he
might be a bit of a moody rock'n'roll star in his photo!
